A native Vancouverite, Keith Nicholson has over 20 years of experience working in some of British Columbia’s leading restaurants, including Bearfoot Bistro, Blue Water Cafe and NU.

Keith is a certified Sommelier through the International Sommelier Guild; a past scholarship recipient from the Society of Wine Educators, and winner of the 2009 Puddifoot Sommelier Challenge. Also in 2009 became a member of the Confrerie de Champagne DeVenoge and he is currently studying Introduction to Wine Making through UC Davis.

His experience and education has provided the opportunity to travel to many wine regions throughout the world, giving further rise to his personal drive and professional development.

Keith has never taken these opportunities for granted and he gives back to the restaurant and wine industry as much as possible when time outside of the restaurant permits. He is a certified instructor through the International Sommelier Guild, has volunteered on several occasions for the Society of Wine Educators.

At Le Crocodile, Keith is thrilled to be a part of Chef Michel Jacob’s team, where quality and excellence is paramount. Responsible for the restaurant’s acclaimed wine program, he is focused on continuing to develop a diverse selection of French wines, complimented with gems from around the world, carefully selected to compliment Chef Jacob’s menu.

Over and above the wine experiences and education, Keith enjoys most his continuous interaction with the many guests who share in his passion for food and wine. “The best part of my job is guiding guests towards their ideal pairing, be it an old favorite or introducing a new discovery. From beginning to end, my goal is to pass on the passion, and provide them with an unforgettable food and wine experience.”

As our list is updated frequently and quantities and availability change, prices and wines available at the time you dine with us may change. The Wine List you will receive in the restaurant will stand. If you have any specific requests or comments, please contact Keith directly.
